Canadian Bobsleigh and Skeleton Athletes Set for Back-to-Back International Racing in Canada

WHISTLER, B.C.—Theworld’s best bobsleigh and skeleton athletes will return to
Canada for twoweeks of World Cup and Intercontinental Cup racing.
TheWhistler Sliding Centre will play host to the first of back-to-back Canadianstops to
wrap upthe 2012 World Cup season, February 2-4, for the top bobsleigh and skeleton
athleteson the globe. More than 150 athletesrepresenting 21 countries will slide into
Whistlerfor the penultimate stop on the 2011-12 World Cup calendar.
Mediaare invited to attend the Canadian squad’s final training session, February 1.The
women’sskeleton team will hit the track at 1 p.m., followed by the men at 2:45 p.m.
Canada’sbobsleigh athletes will slide at 5 p.m. (all times PST).
Internationalskeleton athletes not competing on the World Cup will heat up the Calgary
Trackfor the Interncontinental Cup – a feeder series to the World Cup, February 3-4.
Racetimes are at 6 p.m. MTN both nights.
TheWorld Cup travels to Calgary for the final race of the season, February 9-11,2012.

Childrensix and under are free. A WILL CALL pick-up booth will be set up
at thebase of the Excalibur Gondola on February 2, 3, and 4. Spectators can also
purchasetickets by CASH ONLY at the base of the Gondola on race days.

ALL media must RSVP inadvance of the event to receive media credentials for the
World Cup. Media can pick upaccreditation at the media centre which will be set up at
the venue.

Limited parking will bemade available for media in Lot 7. Media may also gain free
access to the venue viathe Excalibur Gondola.
