Kevin a goûté aux sports de glisse pour la première fois quand il avait 17 ans, à la suite des Jeux Olympiques d’hiver 2010, quand il a assisté à une école de skeleton dans l’Alberta. Il s’est épris du sport tout de suite, et en 2012, à Calgary, il a disputé ses premiers évènements de Coupe nord-américaine, où il a obtenu deux résultats parmi les 10 premiers au classement. En 2014, Kevin a passé la saison entière au circuit de Coupe nord-américaine. Il a commencé sur le même circuit en 2015, mais a accédé en Coupe Europa pour la deuxième moitié de la saison. Il a amorcé cette campagne par une médaille d’argent gagnée sur la piste où le sport de skeleton avait vu le jour, à St. Moritz, en Suisse. Après une autre saison entière de Coupe Europa, Kevin fait un grand pas en avant dans son développement il y a trois ans, quand il a fait ses débuts en Coupe du monde.
Heureux et fier de faire partie d’une nouvelle génération d’athlètes canadiens de skeleton, Kevin s’est qualifié à ses premiers Jeux Olympiques en 2018 à PyeongChang.
Facilement reconnaissable par le casque qu’il porte en compétition, décoré d’un castor dans le style Haïda, Kevin passe son temps libre en suivant passionnément le baseball. En saison morte, on peut le retrouver à son poste d’arrière-champ dans la Ligue de balle molle à Calgary. Il est également grand supporteur de l’équipe de hockey des Edmonton Oilers.
