BMW IBSF World Championships 2020

2-Woman Bobsleigh - Heats 1 and 2

The fastest women on ice kicked off the 2020 BMW IBSF World Championships in Altenberg, GER on Friday. Focused on sliding to the podium for the second-year at the premier race in a non-Olympic year, the Canadian duo, Christine De Bruin and Kristen Bujnowski sit in fifth place at the midway point of the race.

The pair were in fourth spot after the first heat, but dropped to fifth after the second run with a combined downtime of 1:53.47. Just 0.13 out of the medals. Heats 3 & 4 will be a nail bitter!

The women will be back in action at 9:30am EST/ 7:30am MST for the final two heats where they will be looking to make a charge up the leaderboard.

Be sure to set your alarms early tomorrow when Justin Kripps and Cam Stones will take to the ice for the first time this World Championships. The first heat of the two-man competition starts at 5:30am EST/ 3:30am MST.
