We have had another full week of sliding across the world!
Mimi Rahneva was back on form and back on the podium in Women's Skeleton, Cynthia Appiah was on the Monobob podium for the second weekend in a row and Team Kripps secured another 4-man bronze medal in an exciting weekend of racing in Winterberg, Germany.

2021-22 Medal Count
Canadian athletes have been sliding onto the international podium across all bobsleigh and skeleton disciplines throughout the 2021-22 season
The medal count was last updated December 13th, 2021.
The Winterberg World Cup was a huge success, with medals won and personal bests achieved!
On Friday, Mimi Rahneva struck bronze, winning her first medal since returning from injury last season. She was joined by Jane Channell who finished in 12th place. The men also took to the ice and Mark Lynch and Kyle Murray finished joint in 27th place.
Up next on Saturday bobsleigh athletes took to the ice. Cynthia Appiah won bronze in the Women's Monobob for the 2nd week in a row. Melissa Lotholz, closing in on a medal, finished in sixth and Christine de Bruin placed ninth. The celebrations continued as Team Kripps took bronze medal and Team Spring finished in 13th in the first race of the double 4-man World Cup weekend.
The following day, Christine de Bruin and Kristen Bujnowski closely missed out on the podium, but were thrilled with a personal best fourth place in Winterberg in the 2-woman event. Cynthia Appiah and Dawn Richardson Wilson finished in eighth and Melissa Lotholz and Sara Villani in 11th. The 4-man teams were back on the ice and Team Kripps also finished just shy of the podium in fourth place and Team Spring in 15th.
All of the athletes will now travel back to Altenberg for the next World Cup.

Canadian skeleton sliders also took to the ice in Sigulda, Latvia on Monday for the last ICC of 2021 before the break.
Hallie Clarke continues her incredible first season charging toward the podium on her first race on the Latvian track finishing fourth. Madison Charney slid to 13th place. They were joined by the men's skeleton athletes who climbed the rankings as Blake Enzie finished in eighth and Evan Neufeldt in ninth.
After a busy fall with lots of great racing and training, the team will now have a much needed break from competition until the new year.
