Daniel Sunderland was introduced to the sport of bobsleigh after participating in a recruitment camp. Daniel has quickly progressed his way through the system – from competing provincially to making his debut on the World Cup in 2016 in Nick Poloniato’s sled.

After taking a break from the sport for three years, Daniel rejoined the National Bobsleigh Program in 2020 for another run at achieving his Olympic dream.

Daniel graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is now also working as a stress P. ENG.
