Three of Canada’s top Bobsleigh Teams to Compete in North America’s Cup Races in Calgary

— Kripps, Spring and Humprhies to pilot sleds in two- and four-man action—

CALGARYThree of Canada’s top Olympic bobsleigh crews – Team Kripps, Team Spring and Team Humphries, will compete in the FIBT Bobsleigh and Skeleton North America’s Cup races at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, November 21-23, 2014.

The North America’s Cup is the premiere development-level circuit held in Canada and the United States. There will be 130 athletes representing more than 10 nations, including 40 Canadian sliders, rallying for their move up the rankings, which determines starting positions and seedings at FIBT races around the world.

After competing in the Canadian Championships and at the season-opener of the North America’s Cup in Park City, Utah, Team Humphries will continue their quest to hit the four-man start line for the World Cup in Lake Placid by getting two more races under their belts this week.

Canada will also have a strong contingent of skeleton athletes hitting the start line including Canadian Champion Madison Charney. Other Canucks include: Mirela Rahneva, Grace Dafoe, Tiana Boyer, Kevin Boyer, Jon Chu, Alex Hansen and Nat Darrell.

2 p.m. – 2/4-man bobsleigh training

Wednesday, November 19

9 a.m. – skeleton training

2 p.m. – 2/4-man bobsleigh training (Humphries 2-man training)

Thursday, November 20 (Best day for media availability)

9 a.m. – skeleton training

2 p.m. – 2/4-man bobsleigh training (Humphries likely to train 4-man)

Friday, November 21

9 a.m. – skeleton race

3 p.m. – women’s and men’s 2-man bobsleigh races (Team Spring to race)

Saturday, November 22

9 a.m. – skeleton race

3 p.m. – women’s and men’s 2-man bobsleigh races (Team Kripps to race..Spring/Humphries to take day off)

Sunday, November 23

10 a.m. – 4-man bobsleigh race (Team Spring to race both – Kripps to race one)

2 p.m. – 4-man bobsleigh race
