Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton Pushes into Critical Season with Karbon

Karbon suits up sliding sport athletes to support pursuit of performance goals

CALGARY— It is no secret that performing at the highest level in sport is a path fraught with challenges. Having the right partners in place is essential to overcoming those challenges to achieve individual and team performance goals.

From the track to the street, Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton will slide into the highly-anticipated 2025-26 season with its longest-standing partner, Karbon, as the national sport organization’s apparel and race wear partner.

The Canadian company, and one of the nation’s longest standing sport partners, will provide sliding sport athletes with winter insulated and puffy jackets, pants, along with base and mid layer clothing to ensure they stay dry and warm while training, preparing and working in and around the outdoor conditions of a sliding track.

“Bobsleigh and skeleton are demanding sport disciplines that require athletes to spend long hours in the cold, and often rainy conditions, while visiting tracks around the world,” said Kien Tran, chief executive officer, Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton. “Karbon have been loyal partners of Canada’s sliding sports and we are grateful to have them support our pursuit of excellence while having the opportunity to showcase their clothing around the world.”

A longtime supporter of Canada’s sport community, Karbon originally joined forces with Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton in 2016. The extended the relationship as the two sliding sports opened their fall testing camps.

“There is nothing that gives me more pleasure while representing a Canadian company than putting the clothes on the backs of Canadian athletes from the grassroots to elite levels,” said Peter Schure, Karbon. “No different than the elite athletes we support, Karbon is also driven to perform. We know there are no limits as to what is possible when we work together as a team, and we only hope to continue to play a role in fueling the drive towards delivering medal-winning performances for Canada’s bobsleigh and skeleton athletes by delivering elite outerwear and race apparel to keep them warm.”

Karbon’s commitment to winter sport is twofold: to create winter sportswear that has the technical performance to empower the world’s best athletes, and to support those athletes in showing the world there truly are no limits.

Canada’s bobsleigh and skeleton athletes will begin their World Cup season on the Olympic Track in Cortina, Italy November 21-23.
