Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton Welcomes Leeswood Construction to Partner Pool
CALGARY—Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton continues to build its official partner pool with the addition of Leeswood Construction whose investment will provide critical support to Canada’s top sliding athletes as they prepare for the 2025–26 international season and beyond.
“We are incredibly grateful for Leeswood Construction’s support and belief in Canada’s sliding sport athletes,” said Kien Tran, chief executive officer, Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton. “It is the commitment from companies like Leeswood Construction that is vital to helping us in our continued journey to rebuilding a world-class national program — one that inspires excellence, pride, and delivers results on the international stage.”
With rising travel and competition costs, this investment comes at a crucial time, helping Canada’s bobsleigh and skeleton athletes put their focus on performance and representing Canada while taking on the world’s best at all levels of the performance pathway.
Leeswood Construction joins a growing network of partners committed to helping Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton’s athletes reach their full potential, both on and off the ice.
“Leeswood Construction is committed to delivering cost-effective solutions to help our clients achieve their goals, and we hope this support for Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton will help do the same for these inspiring athletes as they chase their own performance dreams,” said Richard Mulvale, partner-executive vice-president, Leeswood Construction.
As national program athletes embark on the 2025–26 season, this partnership will help Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton continue building momentum and providing its athletes with the tools and opportunities needed to be fully prepared each time they hit the starting block.
In addition to rebuilding its national programs and a healthy culture of excellence at Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton, the new faces on the leadership team over the last two years have been equally invested in retaining its existing partners while establishing new corporate relationships in an effort to help provide organizational stability and ensure participant wellness.
Over the last month, Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton also welcomed back its longest-standing partner, Karbon, as the national sport organization’s apparel and race wear partner. Two weeks ago, the organization also extended its partnership with Athabasca Oil Corporation in collaboration with Canada Action’s I Love Canadian Energy campaign.
“The financial climate for many national sport organizations remains difficult, and it is important to realize our team needs are not frivolous. It is our goal to continue to deliver the resources our athletes need, and deserve, to be the best in the world while representing all Canadians,” added Tran. “We are honoured to maintain the support of key players in our partner pool, and welcome newcomers like Leeswood Construction, who all share our goals of making a positive impact on the communities we represent.”
